Professional experience

In 1980, Stefan Hiestand started working in equity trading for Handelsbank NatWest in Zurich, before moving on to Citicorp Investment Bank AG. As Vice-Director, he took on responsibility for trading Swiss, German and French shares on the SEAQ for NatWest in London in 1989/1990. Between 1990 and 1993, he worked for J. Henry Schroder Bank AG in Zurich, taking on the role of Head of Sales of Shares and Derivative Products for Institutional Customers. Stefan Hiestand became the Director of Jefferies International Ltd. in London in 1993. Two years later, he established Jefferies (Switzerland) Ltd. in Zurich and was appointed Country Head for Switzerland. At this stage of his career, he set up convertible asset management at Jefferies International Ltd., taking charge of that area until 2007 on the international Board of Directors and as CEO and President of the Board of Directors in Switzerland.

Since then, he has been the majority shareholder of AgaNola AG, which he managed as the President of the Board of Directors. As a company dealing with the management of collective investment schemes, AgaNola AG was regulated by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) in line with the Swiss Collective Investment Schemes Act.

In March 2020, AgaNola AG merged with Credit Suisse Asset Management (Schweiz) AG and has been trading under the name Credit Suisse Investment Partners (Schweiz) AG. Stefan Hiestand has been a Member of the Board of Directors (Vice-President) of Credit Suisse Investment Partners (Schweiz) AG since March 2020. He is also a Partner and Manager of SH Advisory GmbH.
